My Last Defense

Marcia was sixteen years old when she was disfellowshipped—the resultant of a rape accusation. The Kingdom Hall doesn’t fuck around, you see. The Brother in question was a husband and father; Marcia was the babysitter. Even though her father wanted to notify the police, and press legal charges against the sick fuck who’d violated his little girl, Marcia’s mother insisted that the situation be left solely in the self-serving hands of the Elders. The Elders, after hearing the douche bag’s bullshit, decided that Marcia would be excommunicated from the Kingdom Hall. Jehovah does not love girls who allow themselves to be raped. Apparently.

Marcia is my late mother.

So all of you fuck-sticks who keep contacting me regarding my irreverence can choke on this mother fucking tid-bit. Open your throat and take it all.

I am not a heathen. I am not a bad person. Just because I don’t accept every aspect of Christianity does not mean I’m the devil’s spawn. In fact, if you’d take the time to read my blog, you’d discover that I am deeply loving, and even though I don’t agree with every facet of religion, I am respectful of those who are religious. Except for those who are Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  1. I am so sorry that you need to deal with asshats who feel compelled to email you and spit their venom as though freedom of speech only applies to them but I am entertained that they are naive enough to think they will silence you. I know a little something about the rage that simmers in your belly and they should be wary lest they find you quoting their charming email publicly.

  2. My ‘like’ is for the power and the fury of the words, rather than the context and the event. As an atheist, I do feel there is a place for religion in our society, but society has always been too immature or manipulative to handle it.

And, just to the aside, fuck anyone who has emailed you accusing you of – frankly – anything. Your writing is your business. In the cold wilderness, you can’t warm your hands around a safe and stable lump of stone.

    1. Thanks for all of that, Jimmi. I usually take shit comments or messages on the chin. But, since my mom died, I’m ultra sensitive about shit that reminds me of her. You’re absolutely right–my writing is my business. Ultimately, my writing is for myself. And I’m happy with my words. 🙂 Peace

  3. Love is the only religion that matters. Fuck the rest. My grandmother suffered at the hands of a catholic run boarding school when she was a little girl…because she was Native American. And I’m sorry you felt like you had to explain yourself because of some assholes. Sending positive thoughts.

  4. Ugh and sigh… people are blinded by religion. I agree with you completely… I have nothing against religious people. I do have a problem with people hurting people and justifying it with religion. You do not have to be part of a religious group to be a good person, and you my dear, are living proof of that!

  5. Oooh, And apostolics and Pentecostals, thats some sick shit too, I could tell you horror stories about “being Christs bride” that I fear you could relate too (Shudders). And you’re a lovely person, and Happy New Year

  6. It is I think the cruelist, most rediculous religion there is. To force it on a child that does not understand the sacrafice of it’s doctrine is mean. A child should not be forced into any religion whose discipline is strict that they don’t comprehend the consequence of. My father said, children should make their own decision only when they understand the restrictions of it’s doctrine.
