Shit Mouth

You don’t like me–that’s okay

cos I got mint chocolate chip ice cream in my freezer at home,

and I’ll bet the words in your mouth taste like shit.

The words in your mouth coat your tongue with a film,

kind of like Cap’n Crunch cereal does

after it’s gone soggy. It’s soggy–

it always goes soggy,

but you eat it anyway because Cap’n Crunch

is your favorite liar cereal–

assholes and liars love Cap’n Crunch,

don’t they?

  1. The metaphor rings highly in this one.

Damn! this poem of yours is quite different and its taken a different direction.
    It’s a good thing Kindra. πŸ™‚

I sense humor and the liars of our world who are hypocrites and A-holes.

Man, one of my favorites by you. So, What made you write this incredible work?

  2. Well hello stranger πŸ™‚ Sorry to hear you’re hurting. I thought by your post that you were having a good say. But hey, I guess I’m just talking through the shit in my mouth πŸ™‚ Love always, lol πŸ™‚ ❀

          1. Which is your right, and I hope that you realize that not everyone is going to praise and like everything we write. In reality, my response was more to the comments your followers were making. I really could care less what you or they believe, but that’s why there is a comment/reply field on whatever we post. It doesn’t mean I think any less or more of you. Perhaps I should have just gone on my merry way and not commented one way or another, but that’s not me. And I understand if you would rather delete my comment(s).

          2. I don’t believe in censorship. And I have no less respect for you, Walt. I don’t regret my post. However, I would be sad to think that a difference in opinion would cause us to go separate ways. I respect you as a human being, and as a writer.

          3. We like each other and are not going our separate ways, and the respect we have for each other as humans and writers is to strong to come between us. Today has been a hard day, and I apologize for being so ornery.

          4. Walt, believe me when I say you don’t owe me an apology. I’m glad to know you, and I really do enjoy having people in my life with differing beliefs, because I don’t rule anything out, and I thrive on different perspectives. Because I believe in life long learning. I know sometimes my beliefs are lost in translation, because I can be very abrasive. I understand that some are not able to accept that side of me. To speak in my defense, regarding belief in God: I believe in kindness and charity. I believe that we are all brothers and sisters, and everyone deserves respect. I will, and do stand up for those being abused. And I believe and defend an individual’s right to practice their religion. πŸ™‚
